3 March 2016: INNODERM Kickoff Meeting

The INNovative DERMatology healthcare based on label-free spectral optoacoustic mesoscopy (INNODERM) Consortium met for the first time in Munich, Germany during its Kickoff Meeting. The meeting, which was hosted by the Coordinator at the Technical University of Munich, included members from each Consortium Partner including  iThera Medical GmbHSonaxis SARayfos LtdHumanitas University, and the Technical University of Munich. Each Consortium partner lead gave a presentation on their organization, key personnel, specializations, and their role in the project. The meeting served not only as an orientation about the project aims, goals, and how each partner fits within it, but also as a team building exercise where professional relationships could begin.

The project, which aims to improve dermatology healthcare by creating a novel, non-invasive label-free optoacoustic diagnostic prototype device called Raster-Scanning Optoacoustic Mesoscopy (RSOM), is a 60-month project that will run until the end of February 2021.
